DLS Drum Tuition

Luke De La Salle has been teaching drum kit since 2005 and is available to teach students of any ability and age. Luke has a PGCE in primary education and an MA in music psychology, and draws upon the knowledge acquired through these degrees to enable the best progress and learning experience for each individual student.

In lessons there is an emphasis on reading notation, working with a click track, technique and overall musicality as these are four of the main skills needed by drummers whatever their aspirations. Moeller technique will be taught as a means of technique when appropriate. All styles of music can be covered based on student interests, however, Luke has a specialism in Jazz, Pop and Rock.

Lessons will be tailored to the individual, working at a speed that matches their progress and goals. Lessons are friendly, but professional, with the development of the student at the forefront always.

Lessons take place in Luke's newly built soundproof studio in Ware, Hertfordshire. ​​
